DAVID KLOSS • Interactive Coach [Dance]
David Kloss was a founding member and later principal dancer for the Pennsylvania
Ballet from 1965 to 1983. Mr. Kloss trained under Anthony Tudor, Maggie
Black, Lupe Serrano, Barbara Weisberger, Robert Rodman and many other prominent
figures in contempory ballet. He also had several roles created for him
by choreographers Anthony Tudor, Benjamin Harkarvy and Lynn Taylor-Corbett.
He was Artistic Director of Ballet Kloss from 1983-89, was a guest-teaching
artist at Philiadelphia's Creative and Performing High School from 1881-1994,
and has served as a guest and faculty member of the Southern New Jersey
Academy of Performing Arts since 1994. He is currently the chair of the
Dance Department at the Academy and has been deeply involved in the school's
distance learning efforts for the past two years.
